My friend, Debbie, said Bali will change your life. She said it is the most spiritual place you can imagine. Maybe she was right.
It is a simpler way of life and the beliefs of the people make so much sense. Practice peace, tell the truth, value family and friendship, exercise self control, be compassionate and generous.
I suppose this is Hinduism, which seems more pagan (as well as metaphysical) - and I like it better - than the rigidness and hypocrisy of some of the religious practice I see in the U.S.
Whatever it is, in my ignorance, I am entranced.

Plus they have way cool celebrations and festivals...
