feeling oh so much better about things this morning, thank you very much, after a mini meltdown yesterday which may have had something to do with taping plastic bags around my left arm and pouring about a gallon of shampoo on my head.
wow, that was a long sentence.
clean and shiny today and looking forward to getting a ride to the hospital this morning to trade in this massive bandage for something a bit more chic and - this is huge - picking up my car. yes. freedom. woohoo.

i've done a pretty good job of not feeling sorry for myself - it hasn't been easy at times.  never thought i would be dealing with something like this without my husband by my side.  i noticed i stopped hating him and went to missing him instead.  made me sick and i went back to hating him.  better.
good day to stay in bed yesterday - which i did.  it was a crazy stormy day, gale force wind and breaking waves on the shore.took these shots from my window.
kind of liking the drama of it until i lost power and it started to get cold but it came back up after 2 hours. 31 degrees this morning - zoiks
hand doing well - off the pain meds, thanx for asking.

Going under the knife this morning. No worries, though, I've got a good surgeon.

So, I drove through a drenching rain from Maine and arrived in Lexington yesterday  afternoon. Just in time to open presents for my nephew's Happy Adoption Day. We went out to a restaurant of his choice; french-cuban and so yum. Then we went out for fro yo which really sucked but we were all full so it didn't matter and we didn't eat it. Yay for Will - how I love that boy! (and great shirt!)
I luxuriated in one of my fave hotels, Aloft, and watched Midnight in Paris which I loved loved loved and if you haven't seen it, you just must, and slept in 'til 7am. Woohoo!
Today, we went to the Boston Opera House for Broadway's South Pacific. It was so much fun. We had good seats, the acting and singing and dancing were all stellar, I thought. Great show and beautiful venue. I do love me a Broadway show.
Then, home for a fabulous dinner. My sister made roast pork with homemade applesauce and potatoes, oh it was so good. And, that is how we celebrated World Vegetarian Day - and I swear I am not making that up. haha

After the trauma of my last bag experience, I quick whipped up a different one to restore my confidence.  Ta da!  How sweet is this little bag? Great pattern and thank you, Sue, for gifting me with it. Love these batiks.
I am off to Lexington, Mass today to visit my family. I am leaving these two bonces behind.
And they know it.
